Our FCR-only agility trial will be held on Monday, April 13, following a three day all breed Agility Trial at the same venue put on by the Obedience Training Club of Wichita Falls. We will have one judge but two rings, so one ring can be set up while the other is running. We will be offering a full array of classes: Regular, Jumpers, Time to Beat and Fast Classes. We are pleased to welcome our agility judge Pamela “Candy Nettles” of Elmer, OK.
There will also be a Special Veteran Agility Run. See premium for details. Volunteers needed!!!

Rally and Obedience Trials
Tuesday, April 14 and Wednesday, April 15
On Monday, April 13, we hope to have an Obedience Show N Go for competitors to practice on the carpet. There will be a sign up sheet on line. Obedience judging will take place on Tuesday, April 14. Team Obedience will be in the Breed Ring during lunch break for Sweepstakes. Rally and any leftover non-regular Obedience Classes will on Wednesday, April 15. Obedience will be held indoors in a carpeted ballroom with three rings. There will space for crating in the hall outside the ballroom. We are pleased to welcome our Obedience Judges: Nancy Simmons, Lynn Eggers and Pat Gannon. Rally will be judged by Nancy Simmons.

All judging will take place indoors at the Ray Clymer Exhibit Hall of the Multi-Purpose Event Center of Wichita Falls. A late afternoon~early evening Fiesta for our Veterans will begin our Sweepstakes event on Monday, April 13 along with our Welcome Party. Puppy Sweepstakes will continue the following day. Regular and Non-Regular, 4-6 Month Puppy, then Best of Breed and National Owner Handled Best of Breed and best Bred By will follow the rest of the week.
Reserved grooming space is limited. You may reserve grooming space online or by mail. Grooming space reservation deadline is March 11. 2020.
Ring of Honor

Please join us on Tuesday, April 14, one hour following Sweepstakes judging for the Ring of Honor. We will recognize the many Flat-coats and their owner/handlers who have made outstanding contributions to the breed. The Ring of Honor is an annual, by invitation, non-competitive special presentation held at each year’s National Specialty to recognize and showcase past and current specialty winners and past and current Hall of Fame inductees. The following dogs will be invited to participate in the Ring of Honor:

The 2020 field events are being held at The Fitts Ranch, Henrietta, Texas only about 25 minutes from our host hotels. The GPS coordinates are 33.729689,-98.214265. 33°43'46.9"N 98°12'51.4"W Fitts Ranch is a working cattle ranch with a variety of terrain. Cover may be light to moderate as the spring growing season starts. We will have a large Headquarters Tent for both check in and for our Field Banquet on Saturday.
There is not much shade so you may want to bring a pop up, shade umbrella, shade cloth for your vehicles and PRAY for little rain during the week. You are encouraged to wear boots. Texas is snake country and depending on weather, they may be lurking about. Snakes are afraid of people and animals but better to be forewarned. Most of our judges are local and one for sure is definitely a reptile expert!!!

3 Amigos Award
In order to celebrate and recognize our multi-talented Flat-Coated Retrievers, we are proud to offer the “Three Amigos Award”, a beautiful rosette for dogs that place, qualify, or JAM in any three of the six areas* of competition offered at the 2020 National Specialty. Qualifying events: Field-Agility-Obedience-Rally-Sweeps/Conformation- Rosettes will be available for pick up at the Awards Banquet on Friday, April 17 or after the Field Events. Unclaimed rosettes will be mailed.
To be eligible for a 3 Amigos Award you must pre-register your dog using this online form by March 16th.
