Welcome Party. Tuesday, June 7
Make sure that your plans include the Welcome Party starting around 5 pm on Tuesday June 7 at the Coliseum. Crudites, chips/Dip, hot appetizers and a mac and cheese station. Cash bar.
We continue to want to support the local charities where our Specialty locations are hosted. To this end, we are asking members to bring a new beach or bath towel to the Hospitality Desk when you arrive. We will be using them for decorating our space and then donating them to the local Red Cross and local SPCA.
Informal Breed Discussion, Wednesday, June 8
There will be an informal discussion on the importance of the flat-coat silhouette and head type as two of the most important features of the breed as stated in the breed standard. We will then discuss our written presentation on heads which can be found on https://fcrsa.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/Breed-Education-Elements-of-Head-Type.pdf
If you came to the discussion session we did in Oregon in 2019, the format will be similar with open discussion and dogs as examples. If you’d like to bring your dog that’s fine also. Look for us in the grooming area after puppy sweeps judging on Wednesday and we’ll find an area to sit and chat. We will start approximately 1/2 hour after judging finishes.
